Nigeria’s Federal Government has firmly denied allegations that Binance Executive Tigran Gambaryan is being held in poor prison conditions. The government asserts that Gambaryan is receiving adequate medical care and full consular support from his home country.

    Government’s Response

On Friday, June 21, Mohammed Idris, Nigeria’s Minister of Information and National Orientation, addressed the claims. He emphasized that Gambaryan is being treated according to the law and is receiving all necessary support.

“Nigeria is committed to upholding the rights of individuals in custody, including providing quality medical care and consular services,” said Minister Idris. He highlighted that the country’s judicial processes and law enforcement adhere strictly to legal standards, ensuring fair treatment for all detainees.

    Background on the Situation

Tigran Gambaryan, an executive at Binance, was taken into custody as part of ongoing legal proceedings. Reports had surfaced alleging that he was suffering from poor health conditions while in detention. These reports suggested inadequate medical attention and overall poor prison conditions, sparking concern among human rights observers and cryptocurrency enthusiasts.

    Official Stance

Minister Idris’s statement aims to dispel these concerns, reassuring the public and international community that Nigeria is handling the case with the utmost care and respect for human rights. “We want to make it clear that Mr. Gambaryan’s health and well-being are being prioritized, and he is receiving the support he needs from his home government,” Idris stated.

The Minister also noted the importance of maintaining judicial integrity and transparency throughout the trial. He assured that the legal process would be fair and unbiased, respecting both Nigerian law and international standards.

    Conclusion

Nigeria’s Federal Government has denied the allegations of poor prison conditions for Binance Executive Tigran Gambaryan, affirming that he is receiving proper medical care and consular support. This response aims to ensure transparency and uphold judicial integrity, emphasizing Nigeria’s commitment to lawful and fair treatment of individuals in custody.
